History

Entering the games industry

Because computer scientist and engineer Florian Feith was no longer satisfied with working on company software, he decided to look for a significantly cooler field of work and in 2013 switched to King Art Games, of which he had long been a fan. It was love at first sight, the working environment, the young innovative colleagues, the collaboration of very different fields of work, everything was just right. At King Art Florian worked in different teams on several great projects until the next big step was to be taken in 2018.

Founding the own company

With a very heavy heart, Florian left King Art at the end of 2017 and founded his own game company. A childhood dream came true. In the attic of his family's house in the rural home village, he set up the office. After some teething problems and discarded projects, the first own game "Islands and Ships" was launched in 2021.

Making Islands and Ships

The idea for "Islands and Ships" came in the evening in the garden, when Florian and his older brother were talking about an electronic Battleship-like game from the eighties. A prototype was quickly programmed and the game was a lot of fun for friends and family. There was only one problem: Florian was anything but a good artist. This was solved when, after a board game session, former colleague Lisa Lenz showed Florian some concept drawings for "Islands and Ships" that she had made in her spare time. From then on she was part of the Islands and Ships team. The game was released on Google Play and the Apple App Store in August 2021.
